I’m a mathematical ecologist by training and a college and career guide by trade. As a college and career guide, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in higher education to advising high school students in Cleveland about their opportunities after graduation. When doing ecological modelling, my broad research objective is to engage in interdisciplinary research, using mathematical tools to address questions that are interesting and relevant to our current world. My modelling work to date has focused on bees and pollination services, but one of the benefits of mathematical modelling is that the skills are broadly applicable to a wide variety of fields. Either way, my passion is to make a difference in the world. I am particularly interested in incorporating topics related to sustainability and conservation and to equity, diversity, and inclusion into my work.
