I enjoy working with company owners who are genuinely passionate about their businesses and are keen to see them blossom. I help them identify key areas ripe for growth and then design a marketing plan to make it happen. My clients have come from a range of backgrounds including scientific instrumentation, R&D companies, e-commerce, recruitment, the automotive detailing sectors, and most clients who find me have a technical focus. That said, babelMonkey also works with those in the travel, beauty, and life coaching sectors. I work with businesses whose vision and ethics align with my own. On a personal level, my father was a Diplomat, so I grew up in Malawi, Bangladesh, Belgium, Indonesia, and Poland. Travelling from such a young age has instilled in me a passion for learning about new cultures. I still enjoy travelling and meeting people from different walks of life. I'm fascinated by Earth Sciences, particularly geological processes and love volcanoes especially - Mt St Helen's in Washington State and, as a result, gained a BSc in Natural Sciences from The Open University, graduating in 2017. I am a Federation of Small Businesses member and a volunteer hosting their in-person and online events since 2018. I am a co-founder of the Business Continuity Support group, which started at the beginning of the first lockdown to give small business owners access to skilled professionals able to offer advice and support. I run with my Brittany Spaniel (my beautiful English Springer Spaniel is a little too arthritic for it these days) and am a regular at Battersea's Muddy Dog Challenge. I also enjoy swimming, a bash with a tennis ball and a spot of kayaking. All this activity offsets the consequences of my love of food and wine! I enjoy cooking, particularly Indian and South-East Asian cuisine and love to share the results with family and friends.
