I am a non-executive director, Board Chair and globally experienced intellectual property (IP) lawyer. My 28-year legal career includes 20 years as a partner at leading international law firm, Allens. I was a trusted advisor to senior executives and boards of global and Australian companies, and was regularly recognised for my IP expertise including featuring on the Global Top 250 Women in IP list. My 20 years’ experience on boards spans community services, law reform and IP policy, tertiary legal education, and vocational artistic training. I am currently the Chair of the Australian Ballet School, Australia’s peak vocational dance training institution and the school of The Australian Ballet. I have deep experience in developing strategic plans, setting goals for financial sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and leading change management and organisational reform. I am known for being a clear and strategic thinker, for my ability to build consensus with diverse stakeholders, and for being an effective and collegiate Chair.I am an internationally published author in the field of IP law. In 2021, I became a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the law, to intellectual property law protection and to the not-for-profit sector.
