In my role with CFA Institute, I lead a global, industry-recognized, external inclusion program portfolio for the investment industry's key stakeholders: candidates, members, societies and institutions. I believe improving inclusion is critical to raising standards of stewardship in the industry, sustaining organisational success and ultimately to .better outcomes for investors

Leads on all aspects of stewardship including ESG working with the investment team and communicating our approach to clients and investee companies alike.

I supported investment firms and other financial services organisations in recruiting, retaining and enabling the talented individuals who hold the CFA and IMC. The highly effective job board promotes vacancies to our members. We offered employers a supportive service to ensure that they hired the right individual for their firm.I was also involved in the provision of a program of professional development to enable CFA UK members to further their productive careers. I developed a range of careers training to inform members about their investment career options and the professional, ethical and personal skills they need to succeed. The innovations before I left the society included work on embedding ESG into investment analysis and valuing human capital.My work designing events and working with investment firms was directly accountable to and reviewed by a volunteer committee of investment professionals. Presenting my ideas and measuring impact for this group of incisive and rigorous minded individuals was a brilliant discipline.The CFA Society of the UK has more than 12,000 members and is one of the largest members of CFA Institute – the worldwide, non-profit that administers the CFA Program and awards the CFA charter. CFA UK members work across the profession in investment management, wealth management, investment banking, rating agency and investment consulting roles in the UK.

Investment director – CIN (Coal Board Investment Management) team purchased by GSAM. Managed £2.5bn in FTSE stocks, trained investment analysts, provided global client investment reports, represented UK on asset allocation committee, produced fundamental, value driven company, sector and market analysis. Responsible for trustee reports.

Eagle Star Investment Management (now Columbia Asset Management). Sector analyst, pension fund manager and small companies’ specialist. Retail experience gained on unit trusts.
