For the last two years Sarah has been the Program Coordinator for the Sustainable Living Festival's feature events - the Big Weekend in 2019 and the National Climate Emergency Summit in 2020.Sarah is a Melbourne based artist and cartoonist working predominantly in printmaking, drawing, and the medium of the artist book. As a committed environmentalist and forest activist, her work focusses on the impacts of humanity on the natural world and the ongoing struggle to protect it. Sarah completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Drawing at the Victorian College of Art in 2011 and the Sustainability Leadership Fellowship program at the Centre for Sustainability Leadership in 2014. She has previously taught drawing at LaTrobe College of Art and Design and currently sits on the board of CLIMARTE, who run the biennial festival ART+CLIMATE=CHANGE. She has worked with the Rescope Project to explore alternative methods of communicating ideas and engaging with audiences through visual scribing and cartooning.As a member of 5 Press, a group of five artists brought together by an appreciation for handmade books and printmaking, Sarah has participated in several book fairs in Australia and internationally, and is collected by the National Library and State Library of Victoria.
