I currenly work for PwC as a Learning and Devolopment Consultant within the Academy at Operate. As part of my day to day role, I help with facilitating training for various roles and projects within Operate, with a particular focus on the Customer Management pillar. Prior to this, I worked in PwC's Customs Intermediary Services for two years. Initially brought on as a Customs Associate, I was quickly promoted to QC. During my time in the CIS department, I completed the Customs Level 2 and Level 3 Practitioner Awards at the Institute of Export and International Trade.Before joining PwC, I completed my PhD in Irish history at Queen's University, Belfast. My PhD journey was fully funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council through the Northern Bridge Consortium. Alongside completing my research, composing my thesis and presenting at a number of prestigious conferences, I taught a number of modules at Queen's University, acting as tutor for first and second year classes.From May 2015 to May 2021 I worked as a Multi Skilled Crew Member in Titanic Belfast. My home department was Retail and Photography, later Retail and Oulets (including The Galley Cafe, Bistro Restaurant and Hickson's Point Bar). Other job roles include research internships with the Titanic Foundation and Armagh Museum, as well as sales assistant in TK Maxx, Debenhams and Thorntons. My varied career experience highlights my wide range of interests in addition to my vast skill set, including a large number of transferable skills.
