Assistant Professor Of PediatricsWashington University School Of Medicine In St. Louis Jan 2019 - Aug 2022Division of Adolescent and Diagnostic Medicine (2011-2022)• SLCH Adolescent Center serves patients between the ages of 12-21 for problems such as GYN/reproductive health needs, contraception, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, menstrual disorders, gender dysphoria and transgender management, and issues related to managing a chronic illness. • The center sees between 700-900 patients a year and is also involved in advocacy around adolescent health issues. • Supervision of residents, medical students on adolescent medicine rotation. • Responsibilities include seeing patients in the outpatient clinic, inpatient service, consultation service, 1:3 call (community providers, parent/patient calls, and ED referrals). • 3 clinic sessions per week, 3-8 patients seen per session• The SPOT youth center (Supporting Positive Outcomes for Teens) is a drop-in youth center that has been open since September 2008. All services at the SPOT are free and include medical care with emphasis on sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, reproductive health care, employment counseling, substance abuse screening and assessment, case management, counseling with a mental health professional, and appointments available for psychiatric care on-site. Pediatric Hospitalist (2010-2011)Hospital affiliations: St. Louis Children's Hospital, Missouri Baptist Hospital, Progress West Hospital Emergency medicine, Labor & Delivery, Pediatric hospital medicine• 15-20 patients are evaluated and treated at each clinic session. • Responsibilities include supervision of residents, medical students on adolescent medicine rotation. -
