Supervised 13 personnel in the operation, maintenance, and repair of over 30 pieces of equipment including AC&R, diesel engines, small boats, pumps, and electro-hydraulic machinery. Inspected the engineering plant daily for potential problems and coordinated preventative and planned maintenance. Briefed superior officers on the impact and planning of large maintenance actions and corrective procedures. Qualified as Engineering Officer of the Watch, the overall plant operator and supervisor while at sea; qualified as Engineering Duty Officer, the overall plant operator and supervisor while in port. Ensured compliance with Navy safety programs at a program management level as well as on an individual level.

Supervised nine Sailors in the administration of the personnel records, payroll, and ship's secretarial work for a crew of 183 sailors. Met with the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer daily to discuss matters of off-ship communication and scheduling. Deconflicted the ship's short-range schedule and ensured its daily dissemination to the entire crew. Supervised the transition of all personnel records to electronic format with zero discrepancies. Compiled, updated, and edited over 250 documents including instructions, rosters and inventories from five departments to ensure smooth transitions during two changes of Commanding Officers and three changes of Executive Officers.

Led six technicians in the maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment aboard ship. Managed the ship's Electrical Safety Program, responsible for training the entire crew on electrical safety and maintenance procedures. Trained the ship's crew on the Tag Out Program, a safety program designed to prevent crew injuries and damage to equipment by using effective mechanical, electrical, and electronic isolation for maintenance and repairs. Monitored the daily execution of the program and ensured records were kept accurate and up to date.
