The DU Visual Arts Society, otherwise known as "VisArts", is Trinity College's primary society dedicated to the study and appreciation of the visual arts. In 2016/2017, the society consisted of 500 + members and 10 committee members. Duties and Achievements:→ I was responsible for the general management of the society, its committee of 10 people, accounts, public presence, and for the development of yearly and monthly strategic plans.→ I managed a number of small- and large- scale events, including a foreign trip, a lecture series, and an Annual Exhibition which took place over three days in a major Dublin gallery and consisted of 45 artworks. → Expansion of the society's membership numbers to 500+, an increase of approximately 200+ numbers from the previous, with the use of a social media marketing campaign, the creation of a events calendar, and through the acquisition of outside sponsorship for Freshers Week.→ I orchestrated the rewriting of the society’s constitution, which had last been updated in 1988, to better reflect the society’s present-day needs.→ I set up a library for the society, created the committee Librarian position, and acquired contents for the library via book drives and donations.

TN2 Magazine is Trinity College’s premier publication dedicated to Arts and Culture. It has won numerous awards since its creation, including three SMEDIA awards for excellence in editing and design during my time with the magazine. The magazine has interviewed international cultural figures such as Rosamund Pike, Vince Staples, and Iain Glen. → I was responsible for the writing and editing of news pieces, think-pieces, reviews, and columns. This included copyediting, fact checking, cross referencing, and making suggestions for the writer to follow. → I conducted a number of interviews while working for the magazine, in which I was responsible for acquiring the rights to interview, the conception of interview questions, and transcription of the interview material. → Using InDesign, I assisted with the design of the magazine’s print layout. I developed new layouts for the column section and review section. I was also responsible for the acquisition of images, which often required negotiation with the copyright holder. → I was partially responsible for the management of a team of 20 editors. This involved ensuring the submission of content in a punctual manner, chairing weekly meetings, resolving complaints and problems, and giving out assignments. → I managed content for the online version of the magazine through WordPress. I was also partially responsible for the management of the magazine’s blog, social media platforms, and email campaigns.
