Teach For America is a national teacher training program placing teachers in high-needs schools nation wide. In this role, I set the vision and strategic direction for a leadership team to hire, onboard, train, and coach 120 staff members annually. We prepared these 120 staff members to coach new teachers in areas of instruction, culture, diversity and.

In this role on the TFA Institute Management Team, my role entailed establishing relationships with district and schools to partner with them for our teachers to teach summer school at their site to their students; managed the development of a summer school curriculum to set students up for success; and trained and managed our summer staff.

Trained and coached 38 new teachers to create inclusive classrooms focusing on instructional practices, classroom culture, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
