During the early years of my educational career, I established and managed two pre-prep schools in the UK, both of which received an “Outstanding” rating from Ofsted for their exceptional provision and learning environment.I am deeply committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning atmosphere. I believe that learning should be child-centred, holistic, and engaging, as happiness and well-being are key drivers of student success. My approach emphasises critical thinking, encouraging students to explore how to think rather than focusing solely on what to think.From 2011 to 2021, I served as Head Teacher of a small private academy situated in the heart of the Kenyan savannah, where I delivered both the International and Kenyan curriculum to a diverse cohort of Maasai and European students.I hold a BA in Education, a degree in Psychology, and have completed the International Middle Leadership Programme (ILMP). My professional expertise encompasses curriculum and staff development, strategic leadership and management, and the implementation of monitoring and assessment systems. Additionally, I have a strong background in holistic teaching methodologies, which I integrate into all areas of student learning.I also hold a Montessori teaching diploma and am certified in several complementary practices, including Reiki, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT). These certifications have further enriched my approach to education, enabling me to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development comprehensively.I am currently serving as the Key Stage 3 (KS3) and IMYC Lead at TradeWinds Academy, where I oversee curriculum implementation and development for lower secondary students. In this role, I continue to advocate for a balanced and thoughtful educational approach that nurtures well-rounded learners prepared for the challenges of the modern world.
