In September of 2016 I started working for the America Reads Program, at Warren L. Miller elementary, located in Mansfield PA. I worked there for the entire school year, in a first grade classroom with eighteen students. I went in three times a week during reading, writing and math time. While there I worked individually and in small groups with students on sight words, guided reading, writers workshop, and math skills. I also learned a great deal about classroom management and ways to keep students on task and engaged.
