I have taught students in the classroom and coached them on the Basketball and Track Teams and have successfully led them to victory and high levels of achievement not only on the court, but also in their lives. Today, as I look around me and see what is happening with the obesity epidemic to people of all ages and all over the country, I realize that my true passion lies in helping people get healthy and fit. I have made a difference with kids of all ages both in and out of the classroom, and would now like to apply my public speaking, competitive sports achievements and teaching experience to make a difference in the lives of others.Ideally, I would love to set up and direct a Corporate Health and Fitness Program in collaboration with the Human Resources/Health Safety and Environmental business units. There are so many studies that show how creating an environment that recognizes the importance of healthy nutrition, regular moderate exercise and a balance between work and lifestyle, contributes measurably to better outlook, improved performance, and overall success of the company. I have developed and presented speeches, skits, programs, activities and classes and am seeking an opportunity to apply these skills in a corporate or district-wide academic environment. I am also a math geek with a talent for revitalizing teams, building morale, generating healthy competition and engaging people in collaborative exercises to help them realize their superpowers. :~) If your organization is floundering, in flux or becoming complacent, happy with the status quo, but deteriorating in a moribund, slow death spiral, perhaps it’s time to shake things up, get people up and out of their cubicles, and increase their blood flow a bit...I can do this––if I can work wonders with a bunch of lackluster 9th graders taking them from dead last to the top, I can certainly help liven up your organization.
