About Sarah Raker

Ms. Raker, a Senior Associate Geologist, has been performing hydrogeologic and environmental investigations since 1987. Ms. Raker managed numerous hydrogeologic and environmental investigations related to the protection of drinking water quality and related beneficial uses. She conducted public outreach sessions and town hall meetings to discuss site- and region-specific environmental issues. She brings an impartial assertiveness to explaining complex groundwater science and policies to the public and stakeholders.As a regulator with the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board, Sarah updated the San Francisco Bay Water Quality Control Plan to include current regulations, water quality objectives, and updated groundwater basin boundaries. She has presented to and engaged the public in environmental issues and projects. Ms. Raker participated in professional symposia through the Groundwater Resources Association of California and has been on its Board of Directors since 2004. Sarah served as President from 2012 to 2014. She has written or contributed to numerous technical and regulatory reports for clients and for submittal to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
