Capital Campaign ManagerMédecins Sans Frontières (Msf) May 2017 - Jul 2019Geneva, Ge, ChCoordination of MSF's first international capital fundraising campaign. Leading an international working group of MSF teams from Canada, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Sweden, UK and Germany (reactively), we will work together to raise 12million euro to run ground breaking trials to treat multidrug resistant Tuberculosis (TB). TB is one of the world's most infectious killers affecting 12 million people worldwide, with 1.5 million people dying from TB every year. The disease is airborne and highly contagious and new forms which cannot be cured with the standard treatment for regular TB are developing fast. They are known as multidrug resistant TB (MDR-TB) or extensively drug resistant TB (XDR-TB), depending on how difficult they are to treat. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent, medical, emergency relief organization that provides assistance to people worldwide, regardless of their background, religion or political convictions. Above all, we aim to save lives and to offer medical care to victims of disasters, wars and epidemics. Working together with local staff, we give direct support to the population. MSF also appeals to those in power, including governments and international organizations, and speaks out about the abuses we encounter in the course of our work. MSF coordinates operations through collaborations between global offices. ‘Artsen zonder Grenzen Nederland’ (MSF-Holland) has a partnership with offices in the UK and Germany. This partnership, known as ‘MSF Operational Centre Amsterdam’ (MSF-OCA), operates medical humanitarian interventions in about 25 countries. Annually, MSF-OCA deploys approximately 1,100 international staff and employs some 7,600 national staff. The office of MSF-Holland located in Amsterdam hosts more than 250 employees, offering direct support to MSF-OCA operations. -
