-Leads and oversees the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of wildlife management programs and policies that are integrated into the Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) framework. -Identify and monitor indicator species of wildlife and direct resources management decisions to the benefit of ecosystem health and integrity.-Identify, initiate, design and implement high-priority capital restoration projects that revolve around maintaining, the ecological integrity of Wascana Centre.-Assess, prepare and implement integrated pest management plans that identify, control and monitor nuisance or invasive species.-Maintain and deliver the Canada Goose Management Program. Collect and analyze data to formulate annual and long-term management plans.-Assess overall health and diversity within Wascana Lake by conducting aquatic species surveys of flora and fauna, determining presence of invasive species, evaluating their impact and interpreting the data and results into the development of best management practices and strategies.-Develop and implement the Common Carp Management Program. Collect and analyze data to formulate annual and long-term management strategies for Common Carp in Wascana Lake.-Develop and update environmental policies, legislations, guidelines and best management strategies. Ensure compliance with regulations.-Design, develop and manage environmental programs for schools, day camps and the public. Oversee ongoing training of Interpretive Program Leaders to ensure quantity and quality standards are met. -Within PCC, act as the lead representative for government counterparts, stakeholders, interest groups and the public on matters related to wildlife, habitat, ecology, etc.-Interpret scientific data and ideas in a manner that is understandable for the public and raises awareness of our mission, mandate, and goals. Deliver presentations and interviews, through the creation of environmental campaigns and stewardship opportunities.
