Responsible for providing functional leadership and direction in the management of Health, Safety & Environment across Rolls-Royce globally, enabling the achievement of world class performance executed through business and functional strategies. Set business/function wide plans in alignment with the strategic functional direction. Partner senior leaders across all of the businesses in effective HSE leadership and implementation. Lead an HSE team to deliver on agreed improvement plans and be proactive in seeking out emerging issues. Identify and promote good practice. Present performance to the senior Rolls-Royce Leaders and the Non- Executive Directors.

Manages a team of competent HSE professionals supporting Rolls - Royce sites globally with the management of their high consequence hazards. Provides pragmatic HSE advice and support where needed.

In a central function supporting other businesses with Health, Safety and Environmental improvement projects including waste and energy cost reduction, health and wellbeing initiatives and targeted safety and culture programmes. Leading OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 audits, developing and delivering training and conducting incident investigations. Communicating formally and informally progress and issues to senior managers.

Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Safety and Environment Department and the management of 6 staff. Maintaining the companies ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification through the implementation, review and auditing of compliance to procedures, conducting regular legal and performance reviews and delivering improvement programmes within a budget and on time. Negotiating and communicating with stakeholder including senior managers, trade union representatives and employees .
