I am a daring and innovative activist; Gifted in building intimately empathic relationships through a charismatic and discerning energy. I have 10 years of experience as a dynamic facilitator, program developer, and deep collaborator, organizing around racial justice. My focus is centered in the food system with an emphasis on challenging traditional power-holders to reflect on, and dismantle, systems of privilege and power, and supporting historically marginalized communities in actualizing their self-determination. I have a strong grasp on the analysis of organizational culture as a means to identify the perpetuation of oppressive inequities and on identifying strategies toward equity and justice.As a white woman, my own activism journey has been rooted in an acknowledgement that my previously perceived understanding of what was helpful or best, was blind to the role that I was playing in maintaining unjust systems. My work experience and trusting relationships have encouraged my eternal commitment to unlearning, and to navigating how my own privileges can promote the humanity, dignity, power, and solutions presented by people whose labor and value have fundamentally been exploited.
