• Perform a pilot study using novel photogrammetric 3D imaging system (developed in house) and a moiré fringe topographic system (Inspeck - commercial digitizer)• Collect torso surface data from patients in the hospital, post-process the images to create 3D models and statistically analyze torso models for significant differences between methods• Present (podium, poster and publication) results from the comparison of two optical imaging methods

Validation of a new foot/ground holonomic contact model developed by the Chair of Mechanics and Robotics for fast forward dynamics simulation and model parameter identification in human gait control through:• Devising experiments for the model validation using non-invasive retro-reflexive marker-based measurement of foot motion in the existing lab motion capturing system VICON• Fitting model parameters to the measurement using methods of optimization• Determining and evaluating suitable measurements as well as documenting project findings.Experimental proof of concept for a new method for the reduction of marker-induced skin artifact errors using spline curves and kinematic velocity fields through:• Devising proper measurement protocols to validate the method's hypotheses• Performing the necessary computations to validate the proof of concept and documenting the results.
