I’m currently a Academic Interventionist at Donnell Middle School striving to implement a Structured Literacy course in the 6-8 grade band to aid in reading instruction. Our district is implementing a new course to introduce and/or reinforce foundational reading skills. I have also taught math in a resource room as well as a cotaught setting for two years. I’ve also taught 7th and 8th grade ELA. I am a member of the Student Assistance Team and my building data team.

I was middle school team leader for a few years, Athletic Director for one year, and have held various assistant coaching assignments. NBEA Secretary, and High School and Middle School Student Council Advisor. I also served on committees deciding on the calendar and common planning as well as Principals Advisory Council. I presented at NCTE and IRA National Conferences. I was part of the transformation team within the Race to the Top process by analyzing data, choosing curriculum materials and assisting with allotment of funds.
