Throughout my time in the MORE lab, I have been involved with several projects. I have learned several protocols, which include isolating joint capsule tissue cells, assessing contraction strength and time of a seeded collagen-based gel, and performing delipidation and decalcification of bone. On a current project, I use ABAQUS models to predict the stress response of SDFT and DDFT tendon.

I monitored up to thirty-five patients per shift, taking vitals 2x /shift, aiding with mobility, hygiene, and many other tasks of living in order to improve patient care. I promptly communicated patient statuses to nurses to ensure patient safety. I also was responsible for performing basic tests, such as bladder scans and EKGs, and reported those results to nurses. During my time on the CVU, I diligently encouraged cardiac rehab post-open heart surgery. In my classes, I have enjoyed learning about the physics behind some of the devices I used as a tech and seeing the application of what I have been learning.
