Sarah Richmond. MA graduate in Product Design at the Royal College of Art in London. Sarah was a student-athlete, which led her to specialize in sports equipment in product design studies. Starting from physical movements as her design direction, Sha-Wen gradually moved towards to an ecological-related design, shaping her identity in the sustainability/Bio/Xeno design area. She was awarded the Best Design Finalist in the 2021 Gold Pin Concept Design Award and Entry of Young Pin Design Award Circular Design at the end of her bachelor's by designing an educational insect-rearing unit.As a multidisciplinary designer, she was influenced by her overseas experiences. In 2019, she was an exchange student at the Cologne International School of Design, in Germany. This experience helped her build a fundamental knowledge of being a sustainable designer with an international viewpoint. Sha-Wen also participated in the 2021 Scholarship Program for Overseas Studies in Arts & Design (SPOSAD) and was awarded a year-long scholarship in the world-famous design institute, the Royal College of Art.
