Essential duties and responsibilities:· Enter customer load data into the Transportation Management System (TMS).· Schedule and/or reschedule pick-up and/or delivery appointments for all loads. Proactively notify shipper and/or receiver of changes when necessary. Verify product availability with shipper / carrier (PU numbers & multi pick loading schedule).· Contact carrier to obtain status of load-tendered; continue monitoring the shipment for proper loading, on-time pick-up, transit, delivered, empty.· Update load status in TMS, e.g. loaded, pick-up, delivery, empty, etc.; provide sufficient comments for communication to customer as necessary. Load tracking oversight as required by customer SLA agreement· Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers.· Coordinate exception management notification, and escalate on problem loads and the actions that will or have been taken to Logistics Specialist/Account Manager.· Correspond with customer/freight management operations team and carrier regarding detention and other accessorial information.· Establish and maintain effective customer and carrier relationships, working in collaboration with Account Management and Freight Audit & Pay teams.· Assist with document collection from carrier/service provider network.· Validate all load data prior to marking load as delivered (for accounting purposes).· Investigate product overage, shortage and damage (OS&D), and complete the appropriate documentation (initial steps).· Other duties as required and assigned.
