- To act as line manager for the Research Nursing Project manager, and be the first point of contact to assist with issue management and escalation, when necessary. - To oversee the day to day running of the research nursing projects and be the first point of contact for all nurses regarding routine aspects of Illingworth Research Group Ltd. - To be responsible, together with the Director, for reviewing incoming requests for information/quote/proposals, working with the proposals, business development and contract teams as required, allocating RNPM resources to support this where necessary. - To liaise with the Director and others to cover any concerns that may arise and be the decision-making authority on delegated routine day-to-day project issues, where appropriate.

• Knowledgeable in research procedures including recruitment, data collection, consenting human subjects, implementing study protocols, and the IRB approval process.• Managed the implementation of a new research study protocol by setting up and organizing study files, developing procedures for subject recruitment, providing study related information for all relevant staff, and assisting with the development of a budget, obtaining IRB approval, and writing the informed consent. • Monitor recruitment and case report forms for adherence to protocol standards. • Education Committee Leader – responsible for providing or arranging inservices for staff to meet diverse educational needs.

• Antepartum duties include monitoring and teaching hospitalized patients in high-risk situations such as preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes, and preeclampsia.• Postpartum duties include assessing and monitoring patients after vaginal and cesarean deliveries, assisting with breast feeding, newborn assessments, and teaching to families about the care of mothers and babies.

• Support families through the Labor and Delivery process including labor checks, caring for patients in high-risk situations, interpreting fetal monitor strips, and performing neonatal resuscitation.• Postpartum responsibilities include assessing and monitoring patients after vaginal and cesarean deliveries, caring for patients following gynecological surgery, assisting with breast feeding, and providing education about the care of new moms and babies.
