I am a passionate sports leader, who advocates for women in leadership, and seeks to be a change agent in creating a harmonizing sports experience by breaking down systemic social barriers to bridge the gap between accessibility and opportunity in sports.Former D1 Athlete. I was a WAC champion in 2005 and 2006, AVCA All American and All Region Volleyball Player at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. As a former competitive athlete I am driven to excellence in everything I do. I have experience and a strong educational background in sports leadership, organizational leadership, strategic planning, and developing strong organizational cultures through human capital management and creating facilitating culture. My working skills and experience include business and sales, recruitment, employee engagement, training, operations, performance management and evaluation, strategic planning, marketing, research, design, and strong critical thinking. Being a Native of Hawaii my personality is easy going, and fun to work with, and I am very hospitable and nurturing. I am very active in my community and church and express my faith through serving. My hobbies include the arts, fitness, being in nature, playing volleyball, and consuming sports.

    I am an adjunct professor in the Master of Coaching and Athletic Administration, and Master of Science in Coaching and Exercise Science Graduate program at Concordia University Irvine. Concordia Irvine’s Master's in Coaching and Athletics Administration and is the nation’s number one athletics graduate program. In this role I am preparing the next generation of athletic leaders to have a foundational understanding of sport, and their role in affecting positive change in the lives of their athletes and organizations in which they participate.

    The MCAA 582 Women in Sports class I teach examines the historical, contemporary, and future perspectives of women in sport. Reviews insights from history, psychology, and sociology related to women in sport, as well as athletes' perceptions of their performance. Focuses on information and issues which are fundamental to understanding women's participation in sport.

    The MCAA 576/ MSCE 576 course I teach will provide volleyball coaches with advanced training in volleyball including coaching philosophy; difference in the men's and women's games; training techniques in practice; coaching strategy; use of technology; sand volleyball; and running of high school, club, and collegiate programs. Various skills such as attacking, blocking, setting, defense, passing, and serving will be examined to improve technical and tactical understanding of the game of volleyball.
