Sarah Stackhouse RSSW, is the Housing and Outreach Coordinator at Georgian College. In her role, Sarah has taken on off campus housing leadership while exploring non-traditional housing options, risk mitigation, advocacy for students, community outreach as well as housing education and awareness.Sarah has worked in Social Services for 19 years. Her focus has been on affordable housing, social justice and mental health. Sarah has worked extensively in front line case management with individuals who were precariously housed. This is where she honed her many of her collaboration and advocacy skills. Sarah works alongside and supports people to motivate and inspire change through a lens of curiosity and empathy.Sarah holds the conviction that every individual has a fundamental right to safe, affordable, and sustainable housing. She firmly believes that by uniting as a community and striving towards functional zero homelessness, we can make this vision a reality.
