I currently serve as pastor at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Cedarbrook in rural Aitkin, Minnesota. Previously, I served as interim pastor at Esperanza Lutheran Church in Phoenix, as pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Phoenix, and as associate pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver, Iowa. I seek to help build a more just and loving world. My work, at its essence, is loving relationship, a series of loving relationships. From loving relationship flows all manner of good things: valuing people and preserving their dignity, recognizing and drawing out the gifts of others, collaboration, accountability, good boundaries, and hard work. I welcome questions and critical feedback, embrace complexity, seek my own and others' growth, and accept with grace my and others' limitations.My skill set includes public speaking, teaching, improving systems, leading groups of people to complete any identified task, building community, conflict resolution, writing, and attention to detail, among others.
