Assistant Manager role 2012 -2014I took on Assistant Manager role for some the largest clients in the Glasgow office responsible for review of the audit file, management of the onsite audit team and resources, liaison with the key client contacts and liaison with group auditors, reporting directly to partner. This work included US GAAP, SOX, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Charity SORP assignments.At the same time I also was responsible for managing my own portfolio of clients. Audit Senior role 2008- 2012I trained with BDO and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in September 2011. During that time I was responsible for managing the on-site delivery of statutory audits – liaising between the audit engagement team, and the client. My main clients include retail, manufacturers, engineering as well as not for profit organisations and property investment companies.During my training contract I spent 3 months in London working in the not for profit unit on the audit of national charities. I also completed a 4 month secondment in the corporate tax department involving preparing corporation tax returns and liaising with HMRC. After qualifying in May 2012, I took a 3 month career break to travel around South America.
