Interpret HR policies and employment legislation and train Proprietors on performance management techniques and best practices, conducting inductions and one-on-one coaching sessions that contributed to good practice employee development and management.Provide accurate, up to date and appropriate information and training around employment and industrial relations matters such as award and legislative requirements, recruitment, performance management, disciplinary action/written warnings, terminating employment, redundancy, and leave provisions; Interpret relevant legislation and awards including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, General Retail Industry Award & Clerks Private Sector Award; Review legislative changes and create strategies to manage change;Mentor and supervise the wider HR team to ensure a high level of consistent support to all Stores, Corporate Managers and Employees;Lead change management projects and manage the HR related information and communications;Develop and present human resources, industrial relations and employment relations information at conferences, workshops and seminars;Advise and assist Corporate Managers with conducting effective performance management discussions;Review and make changes to Learning Management System (LMS) content and other training modules;Identify change impact of HR system updates, changes or enhancements and develop/update content across all LMS platforms for distribution or further training;Introduced and developed company’s first Graduate Program, creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs’ to become small business owners. System Implementation and Project TasksKey member of a Project Team (Project SAM), assisting with the selection of vendor, development of scope, strategy, business case, system design, implementation, change management, communications and training for a time & attendance workforce management and traffic counting system.Member of the Project Steering Committee updating key executives and stakeholders on the progression of the project and budget spend.Key contact for the vendor in system design, build and implementation.Defined processes, business rules, data requirements, security levels, role based functions and report requirements.Responsible for managing testing of the system and reporting failures to the vendor prior to and during deployment.Created and delivered training and communication material successfully to system users and key stakeholders.
