I have proudly served the San Francisco Bay Area as a dedicated educator for 26 years.. In addition to my own classroom teaching, my journey includes roles as a mentor teacher for numerous incoming educators and as an instructional and classroom management consultant. Throughout my career, I have exclusively worked in diverse, urban educational settings, where my passion for fostering equity in education has been my driving force. My teaching portfolio spans across various subjects, including middle school English and History, as well as English Language Development for students new to the language. One of my most notable accomplishments was spearheading the development of a groundbreaking 6-8 program within a traditional 9-12th grade high school. This program has since emerged as the most highly sought-after middle school program within the Alameda Unified School District. My journey in education has been marked by unwavering commitment, impactful mentorship, and a relentless pursuit of equitable educational opportunities for all students.After a cross-country move, I am currently working as a contractor doing Professional Development for teachers, assisting in the creation of training content, and providing Program Management for special events.
