Leaning into my creative side, I’m creating Approachable Arts LLC as a place where artists and art buyers can come to find great art and an awesome community that supports it. This is a work in progress with much more to come so stay tuned!

PEO is a philanthropic educational organization of women helping women through scholarships, grants, loans, etc... I'm currently the president of Chapter BL in St. Paul, Minn. I've been an active member since 1998 and also led my chapter in the Marysville, Calif., in the mid 2000's, reinvigorating it with the help of my officers and committee chairwomen.

Experience dog sitter ready to love your pet when you can’t be here to do it in person. All services are performed in my home in St Paul. This journey began because I wanted more puppy love in my day to day. Since 2018, then I’ve had multiple regulars from my neighborhood and beyond. Our new furry friends love coming here whether it’s for a day or a month. I would love to chat and see if your dog might fit into the mix in a way that makes you both super happy and comfortable for the next vacation.

Outreach lead for high profile controversial environmental issues across offices and regions: Northern Spotted Owl, Cosco Busan Oil Spill Settlement, etc.Lead and hold primary responsibility to coordinate multiple communications activities for a staff of over 100, internally and for the public on both the regional and national level. Plan, train, assign, and provide guidance to External Affairs staff, volunteers and interns on issues such as Congressional and media relations, proactive outreach, photography, web page management, and more. Plan national events and press conferences with high profile attendees such as the Secretary of the Interior and Assistant Attorney General.Translate complicated scientific language into layman’s terms when writing outreach plans, news releases, talking points, feature stories and social media posts.

Co-creator of the first-ever cooking magazine dedicated to the outdoors person.Develop editorial calendars and guidelines, Interview celebrities, solicit submissions and coach authors and photographers on them as well as write multiple articles and photograph dishes for each issue.

Coordinating the regional efforts to bring the 2010 Federal Duck Stamp Contest out west for the first time ever. This includes identify and contracting with the location, coordinating stakeholder meetings and efforts, social networking and much more.

The Stroll Through History is an annual event that brings out thousands of people for a day to celebrate the past and look ahead to the future. This volunteer position was a way for me to give back to my community and as a member of the all volunteer board, in addition to coordinating the efforts of artists showing and selling at the Stroll, I also helped to initiate an innovative Tea Time Raffle as a way to help fund our efforts and further intrigue members of the community at large.

Duties: Brand development/implementation, media relations/campaigns, press release creation/distribution, website creation/management, event planning/presentations, online newsletter creation/distribution, video production management, message development/implementation, new program development/evaluation, volunteer development/coordination, partner relations, and other outreach projects as needed.Skills: Branding, HTML, dreamweaver, event planning, creative project development, video management, public opinion survey development, staff training, volunteer coordination, public speaking, writing, networking, donor cultivation, and new member development.Accomplishments: Successfully coordinated and led the public relations efforts of one of the largest non-profits in the state, beginning with branding, moving to message development through public opinion surveys, moving on to social networking and positively affecting the image not only of the organization, but that of the larger constituency of California hunters. In addition, I led the video production efforts that have led to positive international recognition for the organization, coordinated cohesive website content; organized/implemented staff training; coordinated/took part in successful media events/interviews, and was the staff lead developing the Women’s Outdoor Connections Initiative. California Waterfowl is an award winning nonprofit, hunter-supported conservation organization with a mission to conserve the state’s waterfowl, wetlands, and hunting heritage. In just under three years, I was able to help the association go through the branding process and implementation, create a large survey on Californian's attitudes towards hunting, and work to implement messages that would more effectively promote hunting's benefits to the mostly non-hunting population of California. It was a very challenging position with limited resources but the rewards were more than equal to the challenges.

Through the JET Program, I taught English at a mid-level high school where a majority of the students went on to either college or a high level technical school upon graduation. In addition to developing lesson plans and team-teaching with Japanese English teachers, each year I was able to coach students who excelled in regional speech contests and won travel abroad prizes. It was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in exploring life and the world.
