Located in Richmond, Virginia, CCV was organized in 1908, and has always been one of the nation’s largest full-service country clubs. With roughly 7,900 members, CCV features two outstanding clubhouses situated seven miles apart, four year-round dining outlets, 54 holes of golf, 24 tennis courts, five squash courts, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, spa, youth activities, and an aquatics complex featuring five swimming pools. In season, CCV employs a staff of more than 750.As a not-for-profit club with a $46+ million operating budget, CCV has a very strong financial position, with meaningful capital reserved for regular reinvestment in and expansion of its facilities. The Club’s conservative fiscal policies and strong membership base allow for achievable financial expectations and provide operating budgets consistent with its high standards. CCV is the host site of the 2016-2023 PGA TOUR Champions Dominion Energy Charity Classic golf tournament, the first tournament of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. In 2016, 2017, and again in 2019, the tournament received the Players Award for going above and beyond in the experience provided to PGA TOUR Champions players, outstanding community engagement and spectator attendance, and for the outpouring of support and hospitality from CCV members and staff at the James River Course.
