As a sales associate of Vitamin Discount Center, I ensure that the customer gets what they need at a reasonable price. Through being personable and having product knowledge I am able to build a relationship with the customers so that they feel comfortable and confident in their purchases. Learning the customer base plays a main role for when I work with product distributors in determining which products are the most successful and where they should be displayed in the store to ensure prosperity of product.

Working for the Gatorade Sponsorship at a sports academy gave me experience in sports nutrition, for my responsibilities were to provide adequate nutrition for athletes, handing out supplements to professional athletes, and assist with the nutrition department with informing athletes on proper hydration and nutrition. Because the facility housed athletes from eight years of age to adult professionals, I had the experience to communicate and work with diverse groups of people.

My main task was the selling of product and product knowledge. It was important to educate the customers on the products as well as being personable and confident in the product so the customer is comfortable and confident in the product. Knowing the type of customer base in the store was important in knowing which marketing strategies to employ. Aside from the sales floor, I was in charge of inventory and the training of new employees. For training new employees, I had to inhabit a leadership role which entailed my confidence and knowledge of the company and product ingredients and uses, listening to the concerns of the new employee, and having knowledge of the customer base.

My tasks consisted of greeting customers and ensuring they leave satisfied with their purchase, maintain a clean and organized space, and be aware of the weekly sales, for cashiers has to put in the sale manually.

I was an intern under Melissa Rhodes for her special needs class. My tasks consisted of teaching small groups of children with special needs Monday through Friday for two to three hours and assisted with the designing and action of the lesson plans. Also, I was given the opportunity to design two of my own lesson plans to do with the class on my own.

Responsible for the care of children ages infant to preschool. I was predominately in the infant room where I fed, changed, and played with the babies. When I was with the older children, I organized arts and crafts, provided educational games, and supervised outdoor games.
