Perseverance. Something I grew a deep appreciation for during my freshman year of high school. I decided I wanted to try something new. As a life-long athlete, my love for sports knows no end, but my love for tennis is at my core.I went out for the tennis team with no prior experience, and with that I gained a great deal of introspection. Striving to learn wherever I could. Though my hits were not the prettiest and my execution was not perfect, I did everything in my power to just keep the ball in play. At the end of the first season, I was rewarded with the lineup impact award. My coaches admired that no matter where they placed me in the lineup whether that be singles or doubles I was able to put in the effort to win. Later, my senior year was rewarded with a coaches award as my dedication, passion, and leadership were acknowledged. I am someone who adapts, puts in the work, and perseveres through any challenges that come along with new opportunities. I take this mentality with me through life. As I might not be an expert in everything I come across, I will do whatever I can to make sure I can show up and put in my best work.
