• Conducted hydrogen-charging and three-point bending experiments on steel samples, and imaged strain concentrations using EBSD to highlight the effect of induced strain on a hydrogen exposed metal. • Developed MATLAB codes to graphically represent the relationship between strain and material characteristics obtained from EBSD data of steel samples. Effectively illuminated the difference in material characteristics under induced strain between non-hydrogenated and hydrogenated steel. • Developed a written report with details on hydrogen economy, hydrogen embrittlement, and the aforementioned experiment and results, as well as a PowerPoint presentation presented to interns and PNNL scientists at PNNL'S Gold Experience Research Symposium Summer 2022.

• Reported on the influence of manufacturing parameters on the material properties of high temperature ceramic coatings for hypersonic aircraft design applications to peers and aerospace professionals at UCF's Final REU HYPER Presentation Session in the form of a PowerPoint presentation and poster. • Iteratively developed working parameters for Raman spectroscopy and synchrotron x-ray diffraction (XRD) experiments through intensive literature search of existing accomplished experiments for related materials.• Conducted Raman spectroscopy tests on ceramic samples and identified D-and G-bands in order to characterize material properties obtained from band-width and intensity analyses, simultaneously deepening understanding of material characterization techniques. • Introduced tensegrity to middle and high school students via outreach programs by exploring the principle in aerospace design and through hands-on means (i.e. creating "floating" structures with sticks and rubber bands).
