I am delighted to announce my promotion to Senior R&D Engineer! My journey at BSC, over the past few years, has been marked by outstanding colleagues, stimulating projects, and abundant opportunities for personal and professional growth. It has been a rewarding experience to apply my expertise and enhance my skill set while working on BSC EXALT Model D and Model B.

I have excelled in the energetic, communicative, and fast-past environment that is Product Development Engineering at Teleflex. I have exemplified my ability to balance multiple projects, effectively communicate with numerous team members, and problem solve. I have lead component qualifications, contract manufactured, private label, and manufacturing site qualification projects.

Developed and supplied plastic injection molded parts for medical applications by enforcing exceptional communication between a multitude of project teams. My position as Project Specialist allowed me to hone my Solidworks and GD&T skills. I design metrology fixtures and lead meetings to review and develop the fixture with the team. I also worked with the tool shop to create these tools. I worked within the quality department to best synchronize the fixtures with the metrology equipment. I also had the subrole of Asset Coordinator where I utilized my AutoCAD skills to help manage and plan the manufacturing expansion. I coordinated with finance and management to forecast and submit financial plans for large project budgets.

The several months I have spent in this position have opened my eyes to the behind the scenes work of minimally invasive surgeries. I have gained experience with products ranging from sutures and staplers to laparoscopic equipment. The product demonstrations and testing designs I have been fortunate enough to participate in have allowed me to expand my knowledge on the development and function of these products. I have been able to advance my analytical skills through evaluating past devices used by Medtronic, their successes as well as complications, and the ingenuity used to improve products. My internship at Medtronic has enhanced my ability to apply creative innovation to multifaceted problem solving which will aid in my capacity to approach complications in my future studies and career.
