In the Clinic:Athletic Therapists (ATs) can be found either working in sport clinics or clinics that serve the general population. ATs will use comprehensive history taking and manual or physical testing to assess for musculoskeletal injuries. We then provide hands on treatment, exercise rehabilitation, and "return-to-work" or "return-to-play" advice. On the Field:ATs are certified First Responders and will often provide first aid coverage for sport teams, along with athletic taping and injury assessment. It is the athletic therapist's job to decide if an athlete is fit to return to play after an injury has occurred during a game.
