Managing Wood for Good, the UK timber and forestry industry's promotional campaign. My role involved managing all marketing and campaign activity for the organisation whilst maintaining positive relationships with our stakeholders. Our supporters comprised of organisations across the UK supply chain and all shared the same goal as Wood for Good: to champion and celebrate wood's potential as a low-carbon, versatile and strong product.Achievements included increasing LinkedIn presence both in terms of followers and engagement by over 300% in the two years, increasing website visitors by 50%, bringing on new financial supporters and maintaining brand reputation and budget.

I worked 1 day/week managing the membership team for Confor - the Confederation of Forestry Industries in the UK. Confor is a membership body representing the forestry sector and has a membership of around 1200. My role involved line managing the membership team, creating and rolling out membership strategies, recruitment campaigns and other membership based campaigns.I successfully designed and began delivery of Confor's first Membership strategy, recruited and shaped the Membership team, and implemented new processes and training for all staff.

Managing communications, marketing, campaigns & PR for EVOC - part of Edinburgh's Third Sector Interface.Managing a rebrand of logo, including updating all relevant materials, and beginning the process of a complete rehaul of the organisation's communications strategy.Designed, led and executed a local digital marketing campaign #SideBySideEdin which featured several small charities in Edinburgh and aimed to raise awareness of the work of the voluntary sector in Edinburgh for young people, children and families. This included shooting and editing several interviews. This campaign was successfully covered in local newspapers and praised by local councillors.

Leading on a strategic partnership between Young Scot and Scottish Government's Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) initiative.My role involved planning and assisting on delivery of several workshops with young people around Scotland in which we explored themes and ideas related to employability in Scotland; delivering a national information campaign around young people's rights at work; delivering several national events and conferences for young people, stakeholders, DYW groups and employers; supporting young people on the creation of several resources for DYW groups. Key achievements included:- Management and delivery of Digital Ignition Seminar hosted with Prince's Trust Scotland in Glasgow- Management and delivery of the Mythical Millennial Conference, a conference attended by 100 employers and stakeholders comprising of several speakers, workshops and a panel. - Design and creation of content, and delivery of the WORK digital information campaign for Young Scot at https://www.young.scot/work - Creation of a toolkit and routemap for DYW based on increasing engagement with young people. Working with the RSE's Communications team to assist with their marketing (in particular for events, venue and our Enterprise Fellowships scheme) and press and public relations. During my time I started and then oversaw the organisation's LinkedIn page, designed new, modern marketing materials for RSE events, managed press and social media for high profile visits, and wrote various content for different teams and press.

I oversaw all events, communication and general membership of the Young Academy of Scotland (YAS), a body of mid-career academics and professionals in Scotland. YAS' membership body is around 129. I was the main point of contact for all members and hosted events for up to 70 people including high profile speakers, sorting accommodation and presenting. I also managed the YAS website and social media channels. Other duties included creating and chasing payment and invoices, and working on a variety of projects including editing and collating publications, writing press releases and setting up networking meetings.Achievements included the collation of content, editing, publication and sharing of the YAS Brexit Report; beginning a new successful events series of dinners and talks for our 'Emeritus' membership; and introducing a new internal communications plan, including the use of new technology tools. This was a maternity cover position.
