I have held the Head of Care role alongside the role of Registered Manager for Children's Homes for 5 - 7 placements.Within my role I have held key responsibility for managing and securing referrals to our services, ensuring high quality care is delivered in all services and contributing to the development of services and the organisation as a whole. I competently manage any safeguarding matters to include representing the organisation at SEMRAC meetings and ongoing liaising with a wide range of professionals to ensure effective multi agency support is in place for all young people. I am the key contact for therapists working with our young people and ensure that we are consistently evolving the therapeutic services on offer in order to best meet the needs of each young person. My role involves the mentoring, support and leadership of other Registered Managers and I am actively involved in delivery training to our teams.

Throughout my years as a Registered Manager I have managed a number of CSfC's Children's Homes for children and young people with SEMH needs. I have managed 3 bed homes up to 7 bed homes and for a number of years had been dual registered for two children's homes. I am experienced in working with complex and challenging cases to include CSE, missing, self harm, mental health, offending etc. I have excellent behaviour management skills and have acted as an in house Team Teach tutor for a number of years. I have excellent communication skills and work closely and efficiently with all professionals involved in the lives of our young people. Within my role of Registered Manager I have successfully set up and registered a new Children's Home and I am confident in my abilities to effectively set up a new service. I worked to train, support and develop a new team to make this newly registered home a success. I am confident to lead and manage Ofsted inspections and the homes for which I have been registered for have all achieved 'Good' and 'Outstanding' inspection reports. In 2010 my home was selected by Ofsted to be visited and written about as a research project and an example of outstandingpractice. Only 12 Children’s Homes were selected for this project so I considered this tobe a real achievement for my home to be represented in this research
