Responsible for the direction of departmental operations at the Macomb University Center campus of MSUCOM- Oversight and coordination of department operations including staffing, payroll and expenditures in accordance with University, College and Department policies.- Oversight, implementation, and participation in the delivery of the pre-clerkship curriculum. Evaluation of educational outcomes of COM pre-clerkship curriculum.- Oversight of faculty, staff, and student compliance with University, College and Department policies.- Service on College/University councils, committees, work groups, and other bodies.- Function as a liaison for the local community, the Statewide Campus System affiliated hospitals and other local educational bodies.- Development and implementation of strategic planning specific to programs within the University, College and Department.- Collaboration with the Associate Dean and other College and Department entities to oversee the academic programs.- Provide direction and assistance in preparation of budget requests; monitoring budget expenditures at all levels.- Fostering collaborative relationships across the three sites of MSUCOM, locally with leaders at Macomb University Center and COM Clinical Faculty as well as regionally with representatives from affiliated teaching hospitals.- Supervise, advise and mentor faculty, staff and students, serving as a resource and referral source for various types of assistance.Additional responsibilities include:Content and logistical leadership for Osteopathic Patient Care course seriesHistology and Pathology laboratory instructorLecturing Faculty - nutrition content in systems courses
