I joined the Department of Sociology of the University of Warwick as a Marie Sklodowska Curie (EUTOPIA-SIF) fellow in 2022 and Assistant Professor in 2023. I have non-profit experience in the fields of gender violence and children's rights in collaboration with various international organisations, notably policy work on the CoE Istanbul Convention in the aftermath of its adoption in 2011 - and I hold a PhD in Comparative Gender Studies from the Central European University.I teach and write about gender violence, race and coloniality, and the governance of motherhood and reproductive labour, with a special focus on anti-Roma racism in the Spanish policy framework. My current research examines institutional decisions to remove children from Romani and Traveller families across different West European countries.
