I've enjoyed the hospitality field for over 11 years. 9 of those years were spent in a line level position perfecting my barista, customer service, cash handling, serving, and food handling skills. Inevitably I decided to venture into the world of Hospitality management and accepted a promotion to Supervisor. In this position I managed the floor of three outlets in addition to seasonal activations. I helped guide and offered direction to our union team members. I also dabbled in retail ordering, inventory, and policy development. Within a year of being promoted to supervisor and demonstrating strong leadership skills, I was offered a promotion to F&B Assistant Manager. In this position I dove more in depth to retail ordering and bringing on more local vendors to our Marketplace offerings, controlling labor, scheduling for multiple outlets, revenue forecasting for multiple outlets, developing and implementing retail programming, training and developing supervisors, among much more. Upon showing strong attention to detail, accountability, ownership, drive, and success with the aforementioned focuses, I was offered a promotion to General Manager of the outlets I was currently managing. My career growth over the last 2 years has been incredible; it had accelerated faster than I could have hoped for and I'm thankful for every position I've had the pleasure of holding and learning from, and am optimistic about my future in the hospitality industry.
