Final Year student and QUT College of Excellence member.Achievements:- Darren James Interiors Intern - a work placement for high-end residential interior design projects.- QUT Executive Deans' Commendation for Academic Excellence award 2023.- Presented housing design concepts to 12 architecture and interior design practices with offices in Brisbane. The project centred on inclusive design thinking and my proposal was for a youth residence that addressed homelessness and learning support, catering for up to 60 young people each year. - Collaborated with urban change specialist, Studio THI, on a research project to help shape a skilled community of urban transition leaders. This was a team project as part of a Design Intensive. Co-design included engagement with QUT colleagues, the teaching team and Studio THI. - Provided Student Services support, such as note taking, for students with additional needs.

My role was to support the business to deliver unique, bespoke homes and interiors. This included collaborative project work and completing specific tasks that an interior designer would typically undertake. I was responsible for professional communication with the design team and relevant stakeholders, such as suppliers.

This mat-leave role centred on crafting captivating and targeted communications to support TechnologyOne's overall brand strategy. I led the communications team of four and together we contributed marketing communications to achieve a compelling experience for customers.

My focus was to align various elements of communication into an integrated strategy to build the Loucas Zahos Architects and Guava Lime Property Solutions brands (including the LZA brand refresh). My work directly supported residential, commercial and hospitality projects that combine visionary development with architectural and design excellence.My contribution to the pitch and interior design for Hotel Indigo Adelaide inspired my current Interior Design studies.

My work centred on the launch campaign and online presence of tech start-up, myCar.green - South Australia’s zero emission car service. Communication activities aimed to raise awareness of the service, electric vehicle research, and aspirations for Adelaide to be the world's first carbon neutral city.

My role was to develop and communicate the corporate brand and lead the team for brand, digital and events. From 2013-15, I supported the Land & Integrated Systems division with a broad range of external and internal communication services, including media relations.

Communication Specialist, IAG Asia Division: My role centred on an acquisition announcement and communication for business integration. The enlarged business became Malaysia's number one general insurer and motor insurer, with 4 million customers.Communication Advisor, Direct Insurance (DI): I was responsible for identifying, pre-empting, monitoring and interpreting issues that may affect reputation and worked to enhance DI brands (NRMA Insurance, SGIO and SGIC). My work covered external and internal communications.

Communication Manager 2007-09Acting Corporate Affairs Manager 2006-07Responsible for up to four team members and primarily accountable for MAC's corporate communications, $2.5m sponsorship program of around 40 projects, road safety media and PR campaigns.Led MAC's corporate re-brand (trademark, website, fit-out, helicopter sponsorship), prepared Annual Reports, managed fraud advertising campaigns and staged the first Road Safety Youth Forum in SA.Provided advice to MAC's Board, CEO and Minister's staff on critical issues and prepared briefings, speeches and correspondence.
