My debut cookbook Desi Kitchen is a unique culinary roadmap to the diaspora of the Indian subcontinent in Britain today, with chapters covering regions from all over the UK and the desi communities that call each one home. The book explores how communities from different South Asian regions have blended their food and culture to create a cuisine that is distinct, unique and diverse. From a Whole Roast Tandoori Chicken Dinner to Onion Bhaji Scotch Eggs and a Neeps and Tatties Keema Pie. These recipes are an exploration and celebration of the desi cuisines that make up modern Britain.

After my TV debut on BBC One’s ‘Britian’s Best Home Cook’, I decided to follow my passion for food and feeding. I honed my culinary skills at Ashburton Chef’s Academy in Devon, then during the second Covid lockdown, I set up a thriving food based micro business. I also secured a book deal with an imprint of Penguin Random House, and my debut cookbook was published in February 2023. I’ve subsequently worked as a TV chef, with live TV appearances on BBC1’s Morning Live show, teach at a local cookery school and host supper clubs.

My role was to work with senior internal stakeholders to deliver project led recruitment and talent acquisition & to manage contract staff across IS for AstraZeneca UK.Other responsibilities included direct talent acquisition, pipelining, managing end-to-end recruitment processes & managing external suppliers. I worked with senior internal stakeholders providing solutions in all aspects of recruitment from market information, talent management, on boarding, through to contract completion.
