In conjunction with the Phase Coordinator and Curriculum Development Team, my role is to ensure that the curriculum for the year group, in its content, design, implementation, assessment and review, reflects the school philosophy, objectives and policies of Learning for Life. I provide and facilitate ongoing professional development, support and resources to improve implementation of the curriculum. Through strategic leadership I develop and sustain high standards of achievement and a culture of learning for all students and staff within the Year Group.

My role was to promote the teaching and learning of Information Literacy by building, leading and contributing to teams in developing the role of Information Literacy with the SJS Programme of Inquiry. I established the role across the school, creating a shared language and programme of inquiry across Years 1-6. My sessions were collaboratively taught and focused on developing students' understanding of the Approaches to Learning whilst providing soft CPD for all teachers and support staff.

I was a class teacher in Year 4, teaching the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. I also coordinated the teaching and learning of Mathematics across the Year Group.

I provided short term listening therapies for adults with mild to moderate mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and bereavement. I studied for a Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Care Mental Health alongside this role.
