We focus on connecting you and your family to holistic healing with spiritual guidance, traditional teachings and language through local Elders and cultural resources. Our team and various community knowledge holders share about medicines, cultural protocols, Anishinabek song and dance, and crafts about the Anishnabek life.

The Family Healing Wellness Centre is a culturally-based family treatment service. It offers support to address issues related to unresolved trauma within the home.Parents, along with their children and/or youth reside in a therapeutic environment that enhances the family’s understanding of how their behaviour impacts the family wellness.The 28-day Residential Program supports the healing process by delivering holistic treatments and techniques in individual and group sessions. The program is rooted in Anishinaabe culture, ceremony and land based teachings.

Supporting Aboriginal Graduate Enhancement (SAGE) is an Indigenous-led peer and faculty mentoring program headed by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) and the Vice-Provost Office (Indigenous Programming and Research).SAGE offers the opportunity for Indigenous graduate students to engage with their peers, faculty and researchers, and facilitated their development both on- and off-campus. This initiative is dedicated to supporting Indigenous scholarship and academic excellence through community-oriented approaches, research, and Indigenous knowledge, with the goal of inciting social and educational change.
