Created unique programs promoting literacy and technology skills. Led toddler story hours, pre-teen book clubs, teen advisory councils, and senior computing classes, as well as supporting district-wide literacy initiatives. As a Library Page (2011) and Specialist, Sarah regularly staffed circulation and reference desks, working directly with the public and reaching a diverse population. She worked closely with high school and LGBTQ focus groups to advocate enhanced library outreach.

Taught canoeing, kayaking, astronomy, arts and craft classes, and outdoor survival skills during summer programs. (Included at least six ways to start a fire without matches.) Directly supervised 26 unit staff, ensuring a safe, fun, and enriching resident camp experience for girls ages 5-17. Building on cumulative experience, designed and enacted leadership and skill training programs for staff and campers.Previously served as Junior Counselor (Summer 2005).

Divided time between fieldwork – live alligator capture and nest-raiding for eggs – and microbiological assays, building reports of lake health and advisement for conservation efforts.
