Sarah oversees External Relations for McKinsey Sustainability globally. In this role, she leads the global strategy and implementation of publishing & research, communications, industry events and media relations to drive thought leadership. McKinsey aims to be the largest private sector catalyst for decarbonization, helping clients across all industries in the transition to net zero.Prior to McKinsey, Sarah worked at American Express for five years where she supported American Express' CSR and sustainability strategy, communications, events, philanthropic grants, and colleague engagement—as well as the release of the company’s annual ESG report. She later also managed PR and executive thought leadership for Amex's brand and marketing department, working on announcements and communications surrounding Shop Small, Small Business Saturday and key sports, music and entertainment events & sponsorships. Prior to Amex, Sarah was the Corporate Service Manager at New York Cares, spearheading a wide-range of corporate volunteer projects across New York City and completed a year of national service as a City Year AmeriCorps member at an elementary school in East Harlem. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Public Policy and Law from Gonzaga University in Washington state and a Masters of Public Administration from NYU specializing in Social Impact, Innovation and Investment.
