I developed and managed the City of Troy, Michigan’s commercial certificates of occupancy ensuring life safety and compliance in the city’s commercial buildings.

In this position, I developed and implemented an application for Planned Unit Development, administered other plans and policies related to land use and utilized community feedback to develop the Master Land Use Plan. As a hardworking person, I initiated a community survey for the Master Land Use Plan and outlined plans to assist the planning commission in the area of community growth. » Coordinated with the Farmington Planning Commission, the City Business Administrator, and Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission to develop a Master Land Use Plan. » Attended council and planning commission meetings and developed PUD (planned unit development) applications and a survey in which the community can give input for the growth and development of the community. » Developed an outreach plan to send the Master Land Use Plan surveys to the community in a way that will encourage participation, including a public hearing to discuss needed land use changes in Farmington, mailing surveys to all residences and posting a link of the survey both on social media and the City and Chamber of Commerce’s website. » Focused on immediate and long-term planning initiatives in the areas of land use, housing, commercial development, economic development in the City of Farmington.

» Facilitated volunteer retention, event planning and found incentives for volunteers to increase participation by 10% and developed a downtown Springdale list and coordinated volunteer efforts and activities.» Organized the May 2020 International Food Festival in Springdale Arkansas- an organization that support the diversity of the community of Springdale, Arkansas and its businesses. » Developed a sponsor tracking method to increase sponsorship by outside agencies.

» Acquired experience of budget and finance management by attending various meetings with the Budget and Finance department including budget review meetings with city departments and city administration. » Participated in the budget process of $125M per year including updating the budget spreadsheets for the Board’s review of the proposed 2020 budget and auditing the spreadsheets. » Worked with city administrator to encourage auditing and editing the budget review process to make it more efficient. Liaised with finance department and city administrators and reviewed funding the different departments and their reasoning.

» Worked with the Executive Director of the age to focus on ways to affect change on the university towards a more sustainable campus through reducing energy usage and varying the University’s energy sources. » Coordinates energy outreach strategies and meetings with the Energy Task Force comprised of University employees to conceptualize necessary changes to the University to make it a more sustainable campus. » Managed sustainability-focused groups on campus, including the Registered Student Organization Sustainability Coalition. » Was apart of Task Force to encourage the University to buy 5 acres of property to install solar panels to increase sustainable energy.
