The mission of the UGA Archway Partnership is to connect Georgia communities with higher education resources to address locally-identified community and economic development needs. In fulfilling this mission, we also help University of Georgia faculty obtain important research opportunities and provide real-world learning experiences for students.

Responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of Destination Ag, the Historic Village, and volunteer coordination. Manage human resources for the Education, Interpretation and Outreach area for 20+ employees including hiring, onboarding, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Oversee development of education and outreach programs which meet Georgia educational standards in science, history, agriculture and career related fields. Assisted in securing $1 million gift to support agricultural and natural resources programming at the GMA. Assist in execution of special events including planning, promotion, volunteer recruitment, logistics coordination, fundraising and budget development.Manage annual budget for Education department of more than $250,000.

Organize bi-monthly unit meetings including meeting location selection, lodging and meal logistics and agenda preparation.Maintain updated project records including faculty and student collaboration and status of projects.Strengthen the connection between UGA and Georgia communities by updating the website, sharing news and updates on social media outlets and overseeing the creation of the annual report for Archway.Delegate and supervise work of student workers including general office management tasks, graphic design projects and project research.

Manage marketing communication through press releases, social media posts and monthly email newsletters.Act as first point of contact for inquirers and provide knowledge on basic business and SBDC information. Perform support duties including purchase and check requests, process travel reimbursements, order supplies, etc.

Manage calendar and schedule for the Commissioner of Agriculture. Greet guests with questions and inquiries about the Georgia Department of Agriculture.Answer phone and email inquiries about the Georgia Department of Agriculture.

Manage calendar and scheduling appointments for the dean. Maintain updated files of contracts, employees, and departments. Assist visitors with questions and inquiries about the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Created a contact file for sales canvas of pecan tree growers in south Georgia.Researched and located potential Pennington product dealers in seven states. Visited product dealers and customers for sales calls, concerns, and questions.

Addressed and resolved customer complaints through a calm and fair approach, using both diplomacy and empathy when required.Wrote inventory purchase orders for company vendors such as Nike, Adidas, and Oakley.Counted, prepared and reconciled daily bank deposits, maintained a balanced cash drawer.

Communicated with clients via email, telephone, and letters for planning of the annual Georgia Quail Hunt.Attended the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition in Moultrie, Georgia to work the Center’s display booth.Filed clients’ information, payroll stubs and other industry information for easy access.

Maintained a clean and organized laboratory area. Worked with an entomologist to conduct research trials on the management of pests in broccoli.Recorded data from work completed on research trials.
